Almost all the nail damage people blame on press-ons comes from removal, not from wear. Done properly it takes ten minutes and leaves your own nails exactly as they were.
Soak for ten minutes
Warm water, a little soap, both hands in. This does most of the work for you. If you are in a hurry and skip this, you will pull the top layer of your nail off with the tip.
Lift from the side, never the front
Work the wooden stick in at the side wall and rock gently. The front edge is the one place that will take your natural nail with it.
If it does not move, soak longer
That is the whole trick. Force is what causes damage. Another five minutes in the water and it will release on its own.
Clean both, and keep the set
Buff any glue left on your natural nail, wipe the underside of each tip, and put the set back in its case. Most sets go back on several times, which is the entire point of a reusable one.
Never use acetone. It will dissolve the finish on the set and dry out your nail bed, and you will have thrown away something you could have worn again.
Glue, a prep pad, a mini file and a size guide come in every box. Nothing else to buy.
